AI Flash Read
AI Flash Read is built as a local-first reading tool. Photos, OCR text, review notes, and saved sessions are processed and stored on your device.
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how AI Flash Read handles information when you use the iOS app. AI Flash Read is designed to convert images into text and help you read that text using an RSVP speed reader.
Information We Collect
We do not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information. AI Flash Read does not require a user account and does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking technologies.
How the App Uses Permissions
- Camera: used when you take a new photo or scan pages for OCR.
- Photo Library: used only to access images you select for OCR.
On-Device OCR and Processing
AI Flash Read uses Apple system frameworks, including Vision and VisionKit, to recognize text from images. OCR preprocessing, text cleanup, review notes, and speed-reading behavior run locally on your device.
Saved Reading Sessions
If you save a reading session, the app stores that session locally. A saved session can include cleaned text, current word position, speed settings, words per flash, punctuation pause, word size, pivot position, page count, and OCR review metadata. Saved sessions can be deleted in the app.
Data Sharing
We do not receive your photos, extracted text, saved sessions, or reading activity. The app does not upload this content to a developer-operated server. If you use Apple features such as iCloud device backup, Apple may handle app data according to your device and iCloud settings.
Children's Privacy
AI Flash Read does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information from users, no children's personal information is collected by us.
Security
Your app content is stored locally using normal iOS app storage. You are responsible for protecting access to your device with iOS security features such as a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and device backups.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if the app's data practices change. Any updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
